Outreach Thrift Center (336-454-6765)

The Outreach Thrift Center is located in the building behind JUMC. It is non-profit and relies totally on volunteer workers and donations of clothing and small household items.
Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 am - 12:30 pm, Tuesday & Wednesday evenings, 6:30 - 8:30 pm

American Red Cross Blood Drives

One donation can save the lives of three people! Every other month; 2nd Sunday, 12:00 am - 4:30 pm

Blanket The World Sunday (February)

Raise funds for $5 blankets that are purchased and delivered to crisis events throughout the world through Church World Services.

Hunger Pot

The Hunger Pot is an opportunity to contribute canned goods and money to the Urban Ministries
of High Point and Greensboro and occasionally to other urgent and unexpected needs. Hunger Pot donations are taken on the last Sunday of each month at each service.

Heifer Project International (HPI)

HPI provides a continuing source of nourishment and mean for achieving self-sufficiency by giving needy families an animal and the training to care for it. In return, each family agrees to "pass on the gift" by giving offspring of the animal and training to another neighbor in need.

Operation Christmas Child

During the month of November, we collect shoeboxes filled with toys, hygiene items, and other small gifts to go to boys and girls around the world who are suffering because of war, natural disaster, poverty, illness, or neglect. The gift of a shoebox is a concrete witness to the love available through Jesus Christ.

Handy Man Ministry

Primarily helps church members who are in physical or monetary need with household and automotive repairs.

Angel Tree

The gifts we collect are given to children through out the community who have been determined by Social Services to be in need. The Salvation Army collects the names via schools and social services.

Youth Mission Trips

Each summer our middle school and senior high youth groups go on weekly mission trips to a variety of destinations. We also have many other youth mission opportunities throughout the year.

Pumpkin Patch

Used as a joint fundraiser for the choir and youth missions, the Pumpkin Patch is a tradition for church members and the community. As well as selling pumpkins, the Pumpkin Patch also provides daily storytelling and hayrides.
