Have you ever wondered what is your purpose in life?
We all have.

In fact, down through the millennia, philosophers have debated this issue with varying conclusions.  People have gone on journeys to “find themselves” and discover their purpose.  Yet, it seems that the more we look “out there” for meaning and significance,
the less we find and the more we drown in the trivial.  However there is a still, small voice within each of us which will not let us get away from the fact that our lives are important and more than the sum total of what we have and experience.  Someone has said, “The Evil One assaults our senses with the material world to drown out the distant chords of eternity’s symphony.”

This is a beautiful way of describing the fact that we are created by God and for God, and until we “come back home” and join in the “symphony” our lives will be out of tune.  There is music playing deep in your soul, so “be still, and know that I am God.”  Psalm 46:10

Jesus Christ came into this world to be the “conductor” of the music in your soul.  Turn away from all the noise and let Him direct your life and future.  Only then will you realize the big picture in which your life fits.  Only then will you experience your significance and purpose.

We have many ministries at JUMC which will help get you in touch with Christ and yourself.  Contact us if we can be of any assistance to you.
